High School First Love Movies List

Yeah~! Today I don’t have any homework from my school that I got spare time to finally update my blog. LOLZ~! So during so little spare time I had recently, rather than going out and exploring new places, unfortunately I prefer to get a sweet rest while watching sweet movies about first love. Some of the movies I mentioned in this post might looks a little cheesy but it still won’t fail to make you cry a river in the end of the movie. Because it’s too damn touching~ (at least for me)!

1. A Walk To Remember (2002)

A Walk To Remember

A Walk To Remember

Cast : Mandy Moore, Shane West

Movies being adapted from Nicholas Spark’s novel with the same title, though the story line is kind of the same with that in the novel, the director and author decided to change the story background from 1950s to 1990s in order to attract more younger viewer. It’s the story about how a high school senior (by Shane West) who used to make fun of Jamie (by Mandy Moore) but ended up falling in love with her hard. Too bad that Jamie has a leukemia, so yeah, you can guess how it’ll ends. Not only the movie is quite good, even the soundtrack is pretty good, titled Cry by Mandy Moore.

2. Love, Rosie (2014)

Love Rosie

Love, Rosie

Cast : Sam Claflin, Lily Collins

Another movies being adapted from novel. This time it’s a novel by Cecelia Ahern, titled Where Rainbow Ends. Compare to the novel (the novel is really beautifully written~!), I prefer the movie version, just because it takes shorter time for Alex (Sam Claflin) and Rosie (Lily Collins) to get together in the end after they realized they fall for each other but always get the wrong timings. Like the novel is good, but it’s too draggy, they keep missing out each other timings and by the half end part of the novel, I really feel like tearing up the books already, but because I peeped on the last page and see that it’s a happy ending, that’s when I decided to keep reading it despite anything.

3. Crazy Little Thing Called Love (2010)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Cast : Mario Maurer, Baifern

This is basically my most favorite one among another movies in this list. LOLZ. Story about Nam (by Baifern) who idolized her popular senior, P’Shone (by Mario Maurer, I think the most handsome actor I’ve ever seen >.<). She tried to become prettier to get his attention. Aside from the first love story during high school, there are also side stories about friendship in high school. Basically everything in this movie, really reminds me of my high school days. Not only that, this movie is super touching in the end that it makes me cry my eyes out. Why? I won’t spoil anything here, so just go and watch it already~! The best soundtrack in the movie I think is the song title Someday by I don’t know who the singer is (if anyone know, you can left a note in the comment~!).

4. Our Times (2015)

Our Times

Our Times

Cast : Vivian Sung , Darren Wang , Joe Chen , Jerry Yan

If Crazy Little Thing Called Love is my first best on the list, then this would be my second best. The story sets during the main character’s high school days, in 90s (I think?), where Lin Zhen Xin (by Vivian Sung) is just an ordinary high school girl, like really normal. Not pretty, not attractive, not clever, not anything. I think this is what gets into the viewers mind, because most of the people who watch the movie was just an ordinary girls, and with the 90s set up, it really reminds me of my own childhood. LOLZ! So, back to the topic. This ordinary girl meet up the school badass, Xu Tai Yu (by Darren Wang). They started from being awkward with each other, evolve into being close friends, and in the end fall for each other. The story might sounds and looks real cliche. (Yeah it is super cliche) But, strangely it still successfully makes you cry out a lot by the end of the movie. That’s a successful cliche type of movie. Owh, Jerry Yan (the outdated famous F4 member) and Joe Chen (my favorite Taiwan actress) also appear as the cameo in the movie!! >.< They even managed to get Andy Lau to appear in the movie, and there’s a lot of his song in the movie! But, the best soundtrack of this movie falls for A Little Happiness by Hebe.
