I’ve been trying out a few products the past few months, some are goods and others are so-so, and some even causes more problems to my skin, so I would like to share out my own unbiased review and hope it can be useful for you.
1. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50++
I have always been using Banana Boat sun protection cream before I know about this product. Banana Boat has been doing a great job in protecting my skin from strong UV light, but sometimes it feel greasy on my skin, and since I have a combination of oily and dry skin, when my skin is more to the oily day, I notice there are bumps appearing on my forehead. BUT, this water gel like UV protection by Biore has finally gave me a solution to this problem! You’ll feel slightly greasy on the first few minutes after applying the UV water gel, but after that, you feel nothing on your skin. I always apply this every morning, waiting for a few minutes before I started applying powder on my face.

2. Dior Addict Lip Glow No. 001
I used to love applying Sephora’s Almond Lip Balm before knowing this product. Since Sephora’s Almond Lip Balm did a really great job in moisturizing lips. Problem is you have to apply a plenty amount of it, and since it’s not completely colorless, it’ll left your lips look whitey and you’ll end up looking like a sick person. But with Dior Addict Lip Glow, I no longer have to worry about that at all. And, if you apply it before your bedtime, you’ll wake up the next morning with a super perfect natural pink color on your lips. They have 3 different color shades, but No. 001 the light pink one works the best for me.

3. Peter Thomas Roth Potent C Targeted Spot Brightener
Up next is this spot brightener. I noticed a little amount of faint dark spots around my temple and cheek, and I tried to find several products which might help. I noticed that one of the recommended products to solve the problem is this spot brightener, so I decided to take a try. I was hoping for an improvement but instead… my dark spot looks darker and darker day by day. I really regretted a lot that I even buy this product. It’s expensive but not worth at all. I even took a before after picture of how things getting worsen. I was actually taking the before picture to recommend this on my blog if there’re improvement on the dark spots, I never know that the before picture I taken would be use to “un-recommend” this product.

4. Mederma Intense Gel
I thought that it was the end for me when my dark spots is getting darker and darker each day. That’s when one of the neighborhood pharmacy introduce me to this product. And guess what? After applying this gel, it works really well for me. But, well since the damage has been done, I need a really patient heart to wait for the dark spots to get better. It took around 10 days for me since the damage by Peter Thomas Roth’s product has done to my dark spots before it gets completely better. I really can’t imagine how stressed I would be if the pharmacist didn’t introduce me to this one.

5. Lush Jelly Mask – FOMO
I always enjoy using Lush products. But not this one. Some of my friends who are also Lush’ lovers recommended this FOMO jelly mask saying that it did a really good job on their face. But I guess it’s just not for me. My skin gets too dry that a little pimples keep getting out here and there before I decided to change to the other mask. I rarely found problems using Lush’ other masks, but this one might just not for me.

6. Lush Fresh Mask – Don’t Look At Me
Aside from the Mask of Magnaminty and Just to Clarify, this is my next favorite Lush’ Mask in the line. Don’t Look At Me has a little bit of lemon, rice, and tofu inside, not only it has a attractive bright color, it smells really nice as well. I normally left it to dry out on my face for around 15 minutes before wash it off with a warm water. Your skin become brighter and it feels softer. Bonus is it smells nice on your skin too~!

7. Botanist Hair Milk – Smooth
Compare to their hair oil which has more negative review because it is said make your hair too greasy and oily after using it, Botanist Hair Milk has a plenty of positive review, that’s why I decided to give it out a try. Botanist Hair Milk has ‘Smooth’ and ‘Moisturize’ type for you to choose, but since I’ve already using a moisturizing shampoo product and was afraid that my hair might get oily easily by using another moisturizing product, I decided to go with the ‘Smooth’ one. Don’t pump too much, just apply one little pump of more or less the size of a mung bean to your wet hair, then dry it out with a hair dryer, and you’ll notice your hair is getting smoother than usual. This effect can last for 1-2 days, and will last longer if you keep using it after washing your hair.
