Accidentally found this so-called Heritage Apartments when I was having a spontaneous travel down to Singapore, and while browsing through a certain hotel reservation application, I found this place with a clean vibe image, the reviews from few of the other write the place is “super clean” and the price is well, very acceptable I must say. It ranges between 75 – 110 SGD before tax.
Heritage Apartments are located at several locations around City Hall, Bugis, Boat Quay, Chinatown and Tanjong Pagar area, and as they don’t have reception staffs on spot, you would have to tell them before hand when will be the estimation of your arrival time. The super friendly staff members, Jarwin, Cherry, and Michelle are always ready to help you with your check in and other requests are being super helpful during my stay. And I must admit I fell in love almost immediately with the place, that I kept coming back to stay with Heritage Apartments, if I have things or business to do in Singapore. Oh, and since they were managing this in an Air BNB style, you might to note that you will need to book a minimum of one week stay if you’d like to stay with them.
I tried out their Boat Quay, South Bridge Road and Chinatown properties and one thing that I find in common is Heritage Apartments always know how to choose the right property location that your stay will be very convenient, as you can always find 24 hour convenience store, eating stalls, malls and sightseeing place nearby their apartments, which is super wonderful and definitely will make you enjoy your stay.
1. Boat Quay
Boat Quay Heritage Apartment is the first place and the most memorable out of the other properties I have stayed in with them. It might be because of this is the first stay, just like first love never dies, first to everything will definitely left a little something more to your heart. So, yes, up till now this is my favorite property of Heritage Apartments in Singapore. After a super swift and non fussy check in, I was so amazed with the room. Well, I always expected less since Singapore has a REALLY BAD, I mean it, REALLY BAD reputation for their Air BNB. They put in fake photos, make as if you got the whole unit for yourself, but in the end you either have to share it with the owner or with other tenants. But this one is the real thing. It is more like a mini sized serviced studio apartments if I must say. You get the bed with the big window either facing the river or facing the main street. Though you have to turn on the heater 10 minutes before you take a shower to have a hot water, other than that I don’t have anything to complaint. And 10 minutes, well, I got time to wait. You get to wash your laundry here and don’t expect they will change your towel daily, since Heritage Apartments only provide weekly cleaning, so daily cleaning will have to be done by yourself. =D The other amazing thing is that they have netflix and Apple TV! Hooray!! So if you brought your on Iphone or Macbook, you can watch just anything on the TV. It was soooo exciting!
2. Chinatown Express
The next property I tried is the one located around the Chinatown area. It located just right across the road from the MRT exits, so you can imagine how convenient this place is! For this one I booked the room with a single bed, since most of the type they have in this property is single bed room. I got the room nearest to the exit with a big window facing the street again, and the best thing I like about this room is that they give you a separate door between the refrigerator and the kitchen stuff with your bedroom. So it really feels like you’re living in a studio room instead of a hotel room. ^^Again they have the Apple TV right in front of your bed, which you know, makes you just want to spend time lying down in your bed and watch your favorite movies instead going out and look around your place. But since it’s a healing vacation that I’m looking for, so why not just locked yourself in the room and do whatever you feel like doing, right? This Heritage Apartment property is really suitable for a lone traveler.
3. South Bridge Road
This Heritage Apartment’s property located just right across the Boat Quay property. It has the same structure with the Boat Quay’s room unless with a smaller window, so I won’t upload any photo of it. =D. This place is not exactly located in the riverbanks, so it will be slightly quieter compare to the Boat Quay property, but Michelin-starred Songfa Bakut Teh, Clarke Quay Central, and Michelin-Bib Thailand restaurant is just few steps away from the property, so it is definitely marvelous.
Overall, the stay in three of the Heritage Apartments’ property is really satisfying. The check in is super fast, the staffs are super helpful and they are ready to answer every of your whatsapp question, which is WOW!, the locations are so perfect that you won’t have anything to complain about, and YES just like what the other reviewers say the place is super clean! SUPER CLEAN! And there’s also the Apple TV which I love most. Also, you can have the super non-fussy check out on your last day. Just drop your room key on the designated key drop box nearby the elevator, and that’s it!
Tips : if you book directly through Heritage Apartments website, you can get a one way airport pick up services on the date of your arrival, so if you’re first time traveler, this will definitely be much of a help to you!
Happy travel! =D
